Bethlehem Parking Authority

March, 2016

It took approximately one month for an Empire Services crew demolished seven framed structures in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to make way for a parking garage. The project was completed in conjunction with the Bethlehem Parking Authority and Boyle Construction, with whom Empire Services has worked in the past.

Before beginning demolition, Empire Services collaborated with sister company Elk Environmental on asbestos abatement. All seven structures required abatement to some extent. Elk Environmental removed the asbestos and universal waste and cleaned an underground storage tank. Then Empire Services removed it. Fellow sister company Delaware Valley Contractors (DVC) also helped moving materials to and from the site.

The height of several structures required use of the 65' long reach. Following the demolition portion of the project, the site was back-filled, a process that you see in photos below.

Photos show the site before demolition, during, and after completion of the project.
